My mom, aunt, and I attended an event at @ponypowertherapies several years ago and since then, Nini volunteered there weekly.
Pony Power is an incredible organization that connects people with disabilities or life challenges to the healing power of horses, farming, & nature.
When my aunt passed in August, we asked for friends and family to donate to Pony Power. Not only was this what she would have wanted, but giving back is a way of honoring her life and the impact she had on others.
Nini once sent me a photo of the sheep at the farm and I found an affinity between the sheep & Papàsweaters — both hold the values of creating coziness & warmth (& intersect with sustainability). We pledged to one day capture that essence..
so I took these photos in her honor.
Thank you Mom for showing us at an early age how to turn grief into giving & the true meaning of love and family. @melissamyer and I are as lucky to have you as a Mom as Nini was lucky to have you as a sister. I will hold onto this moment forever.
Today, on Giving Tuesday, I am donating 20% of all Papàsweater proceeds to Pony Power Therapy through the end of the week. Thank you for spreading the love & providing a glimmer of hope.
